On behalf of the Secretariat of DPS MUN 2005, I extend a warm invitation to your school to attend the 2nd Conference session organised by our school. After the success of DPS MUN 2004 due to the unstinted support from participating schools, UNAUSA has agreed to continue the global classroom project for another three years, sponsored by Merill Lynch, Office of Global Philanthropy.

The world faces many problems that demand the attention of strong international leaders. Taking part in a Model U.N. is your student’s first step towards becoming such a leader. Confronting issues such as terrorism, HIV Aids, environmental degradation, and problems of refugees remains a priority in our quest for a more peaceful and just world. These issues may take different forms at different times, but as a Model UN
delegate, they are already beginning to understand them in all their complexity. The DPS MUN Conference will be held from 26th to 28th November, 2005 at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Students from Class IX to XII are invited to participate. We will also hold a three day Training Program from 12th to 14th of August, 2005 in our school premises. One teacher and two students from each school are invited to attend the training program. These students can serve as conference organisers and chair committees at their local conferences.
